The plan was made for the New Year Celebration with 9 frens from IOE BCT 066 namely @Me, @Vikram(ulf, Dabang), @Anish,@Roshan Manandhar, @ Roshan Giri, @Sharad, @Yugesh,@Suresh,@Sarit(Bairagi Kaila). It was Jan 1 2011 when the trip for manakamana started from Sharad House(After lost in Satdobato area for abt 20 minutes 
). The time was already 9:00 am when we leaved ktm. The plan was 1 night stand at Manakana going trek from Abu Khaireni and visiting Gorkha Durbar the next day and return to ktm bu things didn’t went as planned.
After moving from Kathmandu on bus to Abu Khaireni, we reached the khairaini at around 1:00 pm and had dinner at Santi Hotel. The food was awesome and delicious there. Then the walk for Manakamana started from the Suspension bridge. The walk from bridge to the Manakamana was difficult one and after crossing the hill, we got relief from the walking (passed across by the Orange trees). The way became little easier after tiresome walk to hill. Finally we made it to the Manakamana ( a great victory feeling). The lodge at Manakamana were too costly ranging from 800(with attached toilet,hot shower,color television) to 100 per room. After roaming there for few minutes we got the room near Manakamana Temple. The cost for room was 400 for 2 rooms. We enjoyed the stay there.
Next Morning, we worshipped at the Manakamana temple. It wasn'’t too crowdy that day, so we had our turn and had some breakfast( cell roti- Rs 20, tea - Rs. 20, Semi-solid chana – Rs 25). Then we moved toward the buspark for the bus to Gorkha Durbar. But due to the banda of Yatayat sangh, we were forced to walk on foot.It was already 9:45am in the morning. The way was of road (little easier) one down the hills to reach the 9 kilo(syawali). We enjoyed the walking very much although it was cloudy over there. We passed thru villages and although it was said that we can reach the Syawali within 3 hrs but we made it it around 5hrs(
). Finally reached the syawali around 3:15. Then there we stayed for a moment and caught the micro to go to Gorkha Durbar. We sat at hut of micro. It was very great moment. Then after having some food(not good as Manakamana and Abu Khaireni). We visited Gorkha Durbar at around 5pm and experienced 1km walk to the top of Gorkha Durbar. It was too late for us but nevertheless, was great view of mountains from the Durbar. Then we decided to leave the Gorkha on the very night and ride a Jeep around 7pm. It was too cold to go from Gorkha to Abu khaireni at night time. Thanks to the Electrical engineer who gave us lift in their jeep. Then we stayed at Abu Khaireni(the same hotel Santi Hotel). Had great moment with frens.
The next day(Third day) morning we wake up and had done with the billing thing, we walked to Khaireni chowk,but no vehicles that day() due to Gandaki banda. We had tea and started walking to Mugling thinking that its only 2km but after crossing 1 km we found that we still have to walk 6km to reach Mugling…. The trip to Mugling was also good crossing some beautiful waterfalls, Marsyangdi river, Hydropower with lots of photosessions. From Mugling we took a bus for ktm and the tour ended…….
We will never forget the tour as it was unplanned and unexpected.
